Numaligarh, Oct 20: Two hand-made rifles were recovered from Kolkhua sapori of Brahmaputra river under Numaligarh forest beat office on Monday evening.  A team of foresters of Numaligarh beat office led by Beat Officer Pratap Saikia, along with foresters of Laklongiya and Borbali forest camps, had gone in search two rhinos which had ventured out of Kaziranga tiol Park (KNP). The foresters came across a cattle shed which they suspected might have been used by poachers for shelter. They searched the shed and found two hand-made rifles along with food and liquor bottles. The foresters seized the rifles and were able to drive away the rhinos towards KNP.
