Two handmade pistols recovered, one held

MANGALDAI, Sept 10: A team of Darrang Police led by Officer in-charge of Dhula Police Station, Sub-Inspector Ranjit Hazarika on Saturday night recovered two sophisticated handmade pistols along with eight rounds of live ammunition which were concealed in a paddy field at village Sanowa Barbari under Sipajhar Police Station, and arrested a hardcore crimil in this regard.

Officer in-charge Ranjit Hazarika, acting on a tip-off, arrested Ambas Ali of Sanowa Barbari village while he had gone to Dhula weekly market and later led the police to the recovery of both the pistols. In this connection, a case has been registered at Sipajhar Police Station vide number 731/17 under section 25 (i)(a) of Arms Act.
