Two hurt in leopard attack in Jhanji

GAURISAGAR, May 10:  Sensation prevailed at Jhanji Phulpanichiga  Majumelia village under Gaurisagar Police station in  Sivasagar forest division (territorial ) after a leopard killed livestock  of farmers on Monday evening.

Seeing two leopards, villagers threw fire crackers in the forest to flee them. But suddenly a leopard jumped on Dulu Borgohain, son of Biswa Borgohain and Amulya (lia) Gogoi of the village. Dulu Borgohain was seriously injured and immediately shifted to the hospital.

On the other hand, on Tuesday evening Sivasagar Forest Division (Territorial) set a trap to capture the leopard.
