Two hurt in road mishap

DEMOW, Nov 7: A road accident took place on Saturday morning in Sivasagar district at Rajmai in NH-37 road.  The accident took place between two dumpers and one Indigo car. When the trees were being felled in Rajmai for making of the four-lane road, an Indigo car (AS- 01 AF-2626) which was coming from Dibrugarh and going to Guwahati, was behind a dumper (AS- 03 AC- 1821). Then another dumper (AS-05-C4569) came and hit due to which the Indica car hit the backside of the first dumper.  The passengers in the Indigo were Sori Halkathani Tea Estate Assistant Mager Rupjyoti Sarma and his wife Rakhi Sarma who were seriously injured. The Demow Police took both of them to Demow Modern Hospital. On the other hand, the driver and handyman of the dumper fled after the incident.
