JOYSAGAR, May 7: Indian Army’s Dao Division security personnel recovered two IEDs from Bortani Gaon under Timon Gaon Panchayat of Charaideo district on Sunday. The security forces arrived in Bortani village and recovered the bombs from two different electric transformers of the area. Later, army personnel brought the IEDs to an open field where they defused them. Earlier, the Charaideo Police had arrested two ULFA (I) ultras from the Assam-Arunachal border area few days ago. Sources informed that in the Assam-Arunachal-Nagaland border areas, many extremist groups are still active. In entire Upper Assam the movement and activity of suspected ULFA (I) and other terror groups are continuing and therefore, Indian Army and CRPF have begun search operations in some places of this area.
