Two injured in elephant attack

GOLAGHAT (Dhekial), Nov 4: Since several days in various villages of Golaghat district, a herds of wild elephants has been creating panic by destroying paddy fields and other agricultural crops. On Friday night at Dholagoronga Gaon of Golaghat district, more than 50 wild elephants entered the village area. The villagers tried to push away the wild elephants from the village. At that time, two persons, Bhaben Hazarika (45) and Sukram Urang (59), were attacked by an elephant. They sustained injuries and were immediately admitted in Golaghat Swahid Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital.
