Two injured in miscreants' attack

 Tezpur, June 4: Sensation prevailed in and around the Tezpur town following the incident of attack upon two persons, including a driver, by miscreants on Friday night at Bhwjkhwa Sapori under Barghat Police outpost in Sonitpur district.  According to the police, Kazi Ali (30), driver and Amijjul Husain (32) were on their way to Tezpur from Biswath-Chariali Baghmari area in a Bolero pick-up van bearing No-AS-12-AC-3596. They were stopped by the miscreants who tried to drag them out from the vehicle. The miscreants tried to hack them on their throat in a bid to kill them and take away the vehicle. However, listening to the screams by the two victims, the local people rushed to the spot and rescued them in a critical condition. The driver Kazi Ali who sustained serious injury was rushed to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital and Amijjul Hussain was taken to Tezpur Kaklata Civil Hospital.
