Two injured in stabbing

MAHMORA, April 19: Two persons— Haren Borgohain and Prashanta Borgohain— were seriously injured when a youth stabbed them with a machete at Konwargaon village here under Kakotibari police station in Saraideu sub division last evening. The youth, who has been identified as Kania Konwar of Bhalukoni village, escaped from the spot after committing the crime. The injured two persons have been admitted to Assam Medical College Hospital (AMCH) at Dibrugarh.  Police have started investigation into the incident. Sources said the youth attacked the duo after a clash with them over a trifle issue.
