Two killed after bike falls into ditch

SIVASAGAR, Jan 16: In a tragic accident, a biker along with his pillion, were killed after the bike bearing registration number AS-04F-4318, in which they were travelling, fell into a roadside ditch near State Bank of India, Sivasagar.

The deceased were identified as Ramen Shyam and Pabitra Pator. Shyam belonged to Mathurapur in Charaideo district while Pator hailed from Morigaon in gaon district.

Pator was one of the security guards to the Deputy Commissioner of Sivasagar while Shyam was engaged as a driver in the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Sivasagar.

A pall of gloom has descended in the DC’s office with the demise of the two. According to police, the accident took place at Sunday night. The bodies of the two deceased were sent to their respective tive places after postmortem on Monday. Meanwhile, a condolence meeting to pray for eterl peace of the departed souls of Pator and Shyam, was also held in the office of the Deputy Commissioner today.
