Two killed, two critically injured in road accident

TINSUKIA, Dec 19: In a tragic road accident on NH-37 near Rajapukhuri under Panitola PS in Tinsukia district, a speeding Indica car bearing number AS 06 1093 on its way from Dibrugarh to Tinsukia, hit a family of pedestrians from behind at around 7.45 pm on Sunday. While Kartik Rajak (35) and his 10-month old son were critically injured, his wife Bogimor Rajak (30) and daughter Sunita Rajak (17) died on the spot. The driver Sameer Ahmed after the accident tried to flee but was chased and caught by the public and handed over to Hijuguri outpost of Tinsukia Police. The car was owned by Dr Sajid Ahmed of Nizpapumoni Path of Dibrugarh.
