Two leopards found dead in Titabor

JORHAT, Feb 16: Two adult leopards died at a tea garden in Titabor area in Jorhat district on Thursday due to poisoning.

The carcasses were found at Kachajan tea estate in Titabor area at around 10 am on Thursday. Tea garden workers found the leopards dead and informed forest staff. The leopards were a male and a female.

A forest officer in Jorhat said, “We believe it might be a case of poisoning. We brought the carcasses and veteririans conducted postmortem. We are waiting for reports to confirm the cause of death.”
