Two more bbed in cyber crime case

JOYSAGAR, March 30: In connection with a sensatiol cyber crime case, Sivasagar Police bbed two more persons on Wednesday night, including a woman.

A cyber crime case has been registered in Sivasagar Sadar police station following an FIR lodged by a woman recently. The woman had been harassed for a long time as indecent pictures, comments and proposals were sent to her on Facebook and Whatsapp.

Sivasagar Police took the matter seriously and on Tuesday, police were able to b a person Dwipen Lahon from Tinsukia district where he was hiding. Under the cyber crime (Prevention ACT-66/(c) and 134/17, police arrested Dwipen. Following Dwipen’s information, police on Wednesday night picked up one Dilip Saha and a woman and they were brought to Sadar PS and interrogated.

Sources also revealed that this group used to harass girls and women through mobile apps and were also involved in some alleged blackmailing cases in Sivasagar earlier.
