Two MTFA rebels bbed

GUWAHATI, June 6: In a joint operation launched by Army and Police, two Muslim Tiger Force of Assam (MTFA) cadres were apprehended today from Chokhilepara area in Kokrajhar district. Based on intelligence input, the Army and Police laid a mobile check post (MCP) in Chokhilepara on NH-31. During the operation, two MTFA cadres were apprehended. They have  been identified as Nur Islam and Mohd Asarful Islam, Army sources said. Two 7.62mm Rifles, 17 live rounds of AK-47, one MTFA Identity card and other war like stores were recovered from the individuals, added the sources.
