Two NDFB (S) rebels bbed in Baksa

TAMULPUR, Feb 4: In an operation by the Tamulpur police, two NDFB (S) rebels were apprehended along with arms and ammunition from okata under Tamulpur subdivision in Baksa district today. The apprehended rebels were identified as Sudem Muchahary alias Manual (24) of Runikhata in Chirang district and Khassar Muchahary (36) of Sootia in Sonitpur district. Police sources said that the militants were involved in various cases of extortion. Acting on a tip off a team of Tamulpur police arrested the rebels when they came to collect extorted money from a trader at okata. Tamulpur SPDO Asif Ahmed said that the detained rebels threatened MP Biswajit Daimary and BTC EM Ganesh Kachari several times.
