Two NDFB (S) rebels bbed in Chirang, arms & ammunition seized

Bongaigaon, September 9:  “Today at about 9.30 am, based on specific input about the presence of  a hardcore NDFB cadre in Patabari area under Amguri PS of Chirang district, an operation was launched in the area under IGP BTAD, SP and Additiol SP (HQ) Chirang along with Assam Police commandos,” said LR Bishnoi, IGP, BTAD on Wednesday after a day-long operation in the northern area of Chirang district.

“We have bbed a hardcore cadre, Biron rzary alias N.Bapeibai. He was PSO of Bidei and is a cadre of the 41st Myanmar training batch. From spot interrogation he led us to a nearby jungle and we recovered one HK 33 rifle along with magazine and 212 rounds of ammunition which were kept buried. Thereafter, on further interrogation, he revealed the presence of another cadre in Sissubari area under Amguri PS and again an operation was conducted in the area and we apprehended  Swmkwr Basumutary alias B.Sukao, S/S Lance  Corporal who is a 35th batch Mynmar trained cadre. On spot interrogation, he also led us to recovery of a 7.65mm pistol with magazine, two rounds ammunition, 212 rounds AK ammunition, 25 rounds 303 ammunition, and four HE gredes along with detotors,” Bishnoi said.
