Two notorious dacoits bbed

RANGIA, Jan 10:  Rangia Police, with the help of Soalkuchi police, bbed two notorious dacoits acting on tip-off from Barjhar and Rangia.

According to the police, Dipankar Deka alias Tiklu was apprehended from Borjhar, Guwahati and Tiklu alias Rekib Ali from Rangia. The operation was led by Amar Ghosh, TSI Rangia, and Bhaskar Malla Patowary, O/C Soalkuchi. One 9mm pistol, two live cartridges and one magazine were also recovered from their possession.

According to the police, they were involved in the incident of stching Rs 1 lakh at Rangia Bhatkuchi on December 22, 2016 at gun-point. Lohit Das, employee of Shuvam Oil Company was injured seriously as the miscreants shot the employee. They were also involved in various crimes, including highway robbery, truck robbery and stching of money at gun-point in the entire State. Police is interrogating them at Rangia police station for further information.
