Two persons dead in separate incidents

BONGAIGAON, Oct 3: Recovery of a headless body on the railway track of Basugaon in Chirang district near Basugaon Railway station has created panic in the area. Joydeep Pandit (28), son of Jyoti Prakash Pandita, resident of Basugaon area, was missing since Monday night after a quarrel with his father. His father lodged a missing complaint in Basugaon PS last night and on Tuesday morning his headless body was found on the railway track. He was identified from the PAN card received from his pocket. Suicide has been suspected as the youth was facing problems since some years regarding his academic performance. He was a bright student once but he isolated himself from everyone after failing in the Higher Secondary exam. On the other hand, one person died on Tuesday in Haripani River of Jogighopa area in Bongaigaon district after falling from a boat. Suman Das, resident of Kabaitari area of Bongaigaon district and a carpenter by profession, was coming to his workplace by boat and died after falling into the river.
