Two persons involved in ending lottery held

Silchar, September 13: In a joint operation held recently, Silchar and Lakhipur police led by S Saikia, sub-inspector of Lakhipur police station bbed a person who has been involved in social vices like selling ending lotteries. The arrested person has been identified as Dinesh Chanda (30) who is a resident of Labocpar Part-II and owns a pan-shop in Pailapool. The police team recovered Rs.80,810 in cash and receipt book of ending lottery from his possession. The police have registered a case under the relevant sections of IPC against the arrested person. Later, the accused person was sent to judicial custody for further interrogation.
