Two poachers, one dacoit bbed

GAON, June 23: Jakhalabandha police apprehended two wanted rhino poachers from Bandardubi and Samaguri area on Monday night. According to police sources, both the poachers were involved in rhino poaching in Kaziranga tiol Park over the years. The police also recovered arms and ammunition from the duo. Sources said that on basis of intelligence input, Jakhalabandha police launched an operation on Monday night at Kuthari and Samaguri area and was able to b the poachers from their residence. They have been identified as Mainul Haque of Bandardubi near Kuthari and Rahmat Ullah of Kathpare near Samaguri, the sources added. Earlier, the Jakhalabandha police had bbed three wanted intertiol rhino poachers and rhino horn peddlers from Dimapur of galand just three days ago. On the other hand, Rupahi police along with CRPF bbed a dacoit at Uttar Khatuwal. The police recovered one pipe gun, eight rounds of bullets and two deadly weapons from the accused. According to the sources, the dacoit has been identified as Khairul Islam of Khatuwal under Rupahi police station.
