Two Principals receive diploma in education leadership

Dibrugarh, Dec 27: Additiol Secretary of UGC, New Delhi, Dr (Mrs) Pankaj Mittal awarded two Principals of Assam the Intertiol Diploma of Education Leadership: Higher Education (IDEL-HE) on behalf of Indian Colleges’ Forum (ICF) and Centre of Higher Education Studies and Training (CEST).

The awardee Principals are Dr. Sashikanta Saikia, Principal of DHSK College, and Dr. Kiran Hazarika, Principal Tengakhat College. At the award ceremony Dr. Mittal appreciated both the Principals. A three-day workshop on ‘Use of New Media, New Technology and Innovations for Improving Quality of Higher Education’ was also held at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

During the diploma period, both Principals visited different higher educatiol institutions of Europe. At the award function, Dr Bikas Sanyal, former vice-chairman of UNESCO and former secretary of UGC, Dr G D Sarma, former Professor of IIT, technology expert and former PVC IGNOU, MM Pant, former Head IIEP, UNESCO, Prof N V Verghese were also present.
