Two rank holders bring laurels to Tangla

TANGLA, May 30: Like previous years, tiol Pioneer Junior College, Tangla has once again brought laurels to the town by bagging the 4th and 10th position in Commerce stream in the HS fil exam, the results of which were declared on Tuesday. Gaurav Patowary clinched the 4th position securing 90 marks in English,92 in Alt. English, 93 in Accountancy, 93 in Business Studies and 98 in Commercial Mathematics and Statistics.

He obtained 93.2 per cent by securing 466 out of 500. He is the son of Sushil Patowary and Lalita Patowary. Dipankar Saha of the same college secured 10th position in commerce stream by obtaining 84 marks in English, 92 marks in Alt. English, 90 marks in Accountancy, 95 marks in Business Studies and 97 marks in Banking. He obtained 458 out of 500 marks. Dipankar said that he was an avid social media user and regularly studied for 8-10 hours. He aspired to make a career in banking and magement sector. He is the son of Tara Sankar Saha and Sarbani Saha. Both the students have special interest in quizzing, photography and cricket. A student of the Science section of the same college, Seema Sharma missed a position by only three marks, securing 469 marks out of 500. The Principal of the college, Parvezul Islam that the effort of both students and teachers had yielded fruits. The position holders were also feted by various student bodies and organizations, including AASU, AKRSU and ABBYSF.
