Two rank-holders from Bongaigaon Refinery HSS

Bongaigaon, May 30:  Bongaigaon Refinery Higher Secondary School of Dhaligaon in Chirang district has grabbed the fifth and eight positions in the HS examition, results of which were declared on Saturday.

Aitijya Bhaduri secured total marks 467 and grabbed the fifth position in the Arts stream. She is the daughter of Sujit Bhaduri, a railway employee by profession and a resident of Dangtola area of New Bongaigaon Railway Colony. Talking to media persons, Aitijya said that her ambition was to become a teacher. Priyasa Kundu, who got total 464 marks and secured eight position in Arts stream, wants to be an IAS officer. She is daughter of Dhanjay Kundu, a resident of Dhaligaon area in Chirang district and a businessman by profession.

Talking to media persons, Ajay Das, Planning Officer of Bongaigan District Education department, said that a total of 5,659 candidates from all three streams appeared this year in the Higher Secondary examition from Bongaigaon district among whom 3,660 passed.

“This year pass percentage in Bongaigaon district in Science stream  is 86.23 per cent (382 out of 443), in commerce stream 70.7 per cent (193 out of 273) and in Arts stream 62.41 per cent (3085 out of 4943),”he said.
