Two shops gutted

MARGHERITA, April 12: A major fire broke out at Vineer Mill Bazaar, Margherita where two shops were completely gutted and three other shops were partially destroyed. The fire broke out on Monday night. A godown belonging to Mukundu Bhattacharjee (Tiya) and a cosmetic shop owned by Shibu Bose were completely gutted. Other three shops which were partially damaged are a cosmetic shop belonging to Prab Paul, a godown belonging to Debth and a shop belonging to Daroga Sah. Property worth around Rs 5 lakh was destroyed in the fire.
