Two smugglers held with ganja in Mangaldai

MANGALDAI, June 1: In a successful operation against the illicit trade of the banned ganja, a team of Excise task force in Darrang on Wednesday has held two peddlers of the notorious inter-State ganja trade racket from the Baghpori Chapori area under Mangaldai Police Station and also maged to seize around 7 kg ganja from their possession, stated a source of the Darrang Excise department. The persons, who have been booked under the NDPS Act, have been identified as Khajan Ali and Mansur Ali. The notorious gang has been active in extending their illegal trade to neighbouring Morigaon district and other parts of the State using river route.
