Two students allegedly murdered

DULIAJAN, August 20: People of Bhadoi area under Duliajan police station are in a state of shock over the demise of two students of Bhadoi Junior College. According to Bhadoi Junior College sources, Biplob Gogoi (18), son of Birendra Kumar Gogoi, resident Bahoni Gaon under Duliajan police station and Prasanta Chetia (18), son of  Manik Cheita, resident of Bahoni gaon under Duliajan police station went home on Friday after the first period after taking permission from Principal of the college as they were suffering from fever since morning. The two students again went for private tuition on their bicycles in the afternoon. When they did not return home in the evening, their family members and relatives searched for them in various places and found their bodies in a room at around 10:30 pm at Sisia ME School hanging from the ceiling. The family members of both boys alleged that they had been killed by their friends. Birendra Kumar Gogoi and Manik Chetia jointly lodged an FIR in this regard. Police on the basis of suspicion,  arrested two students of Bhadoi Junior Collge  - Newton Chetia (17), resident of 2 no.Kerekoni Gaon and Junti Gogoi (23), resident of 3 No.Bokuloni Gaon under Duliajan police station. Police have registered a case bearing no.304/16 under section of IPC 302/34. Both the bodies were sent to Assam Medical College and Hospital for postmortem.
