Two students from Sonitpur district among rank holders

Tezpur/Dhekiajuli, May 31: People in around Tezpur town and Singri Mandir area in Sonitpur district felt  proud as two students from two different schools brought glory to their schools as well as  to their district by achieving ranks in the HSLC fil examition (2017),  results of which were declared on Wednesday by  SEBA. Sayan Majumdar of Don Bosco High School here secured 4th rank with total mark 586 and Writik Sutar of Polo Star Academy secured 5th position with  total mark 585.

Sayan Majumdar, son of Chinmoy Majumdar and Mitali Manjumdar, a resident of Polo Field, Tezpur who secured the 4th position, said that he would study astronomy at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He was grateful to his teachers and well wishers. He expressed his special gratitude to his school for helping him in achieving his goal. Sayan was the first rank holder in the tiol Talent Search Exam in Assam.

Writik Sutar of Polo Star Academy, Singri under Dhekiajuli block, who secured the 5th position, is the son of Tika Chetry and Rohini Sutar. He expressed satisfaction at the result and said that he would now study in Ramanuj College, gaon and later study Information Technology.

Polo Star Academy was established in the year 2001 and produced its first batch of HSLC candidates this year. Altogether 13 students appeared from this school, out of which 10 got first division, including the rank holder, and three secured second division.
