Two trucks torched

IMPHAL, April 16:  In the meantime, two trucks were completely torched by unknown miscreants yesterday at 6:40 pm in between Raengkhung and Awangkhul village along NH- 37 under Noney police station of Tamenglong District.  One truck was belongs to Sushee private Ltd and the other  to Triveni Construction Company which were being engaged in construction works of Jiri-Tupul Railway Projects. A case has been registered to the Noney Police station.  It may be recalled that the contractual teachers in the hill districts had banned all construction works in the districts. This is in protest against the governmetn negligence and apathy to their demand to regularise their demand for regularisation of their services. Police are yet to wing into actions. No arrest has been made. It is not known who was behind the incendiary.
