Two upsets in India Club Tennis

GUWAHATI, Jan 5: 17th Anup Lahoty India club tennis witnessed two major upsets on Monday. Unseeded Arunesh Bora defeated second seed Anchit Gogoi 5–4 while Parbondeep Saikia registered upset victory  against seventh seed Varun Aditya Kalita 5–2 in Boy’s Singles (Under 12 years) pre–quarter fil match. In the Girl’s Singles, Ishika Chakma, Ari Phukan, Kristi Boro and Syeda Nihad Omar reached into the semi fils today in Under–12 category. In the Under –14 girls section Jashree Saikia, Harshita Bora, Bresh Khan and Kristi Boro moved into the last four stage.
