Two water supply schemes iugurated in Udalguri

TANGLA, September 18:  BTC EM Lmwshrao Daimari recently iugurated two water supply schemes at Darogakhat and 1 No. Baira near Khoirabari in Udalguri district.

In his speech, Lmshrao Daimari gave the assurance that the areas facing problems of potable drinking water and sanitation issues would be covered within a short period by BTC authorities.

Through NRDWPP (QA) programme of the State Government, the Darogakhat Water Supply Scheme received sanction amount of Rs 65 lakh for the year 2011-12 A total of 975 villagers of Darogakhat, Kalbari, Sokhat, Ghogapara and Uttar Chuba will be benefitted by the scheme.

Meanwhile, the 1 No. Baira Water Supply Scheme received sanction amount of Rs 45.46 lakh through non-plan programme for the year 2015-16. A total of 748 villagers of Baira Chuba, Ghogapara, Niz Kuhiarkuchi and Baripara will be benefitted by the scheme.

A 15-member magement committee for each of the water supply schemes was also formed for proper maintence of the project.

The projects were iugurated in the presence of Maheswar Boro, Kalaigaon MLA, gendra Bharati, senior grade junior engineer –cum-nodal officer, PHE BTC director Bibhuti Ranjan Sarma, PHE Executive Engineer Mabendra Bikash Dhar, Dimbeswar Sarma, junior engineer and other officials of Public Health Engineering, Tangla Division.
