Two wild jumbos die of electrocution

Kaliabor, Nov 30: A herd of wild jumbos came from the Kaziranga tiol Park in search of food and two of them died due to electrocution on Tuesday night at Samdhara of Kaliabor. One of the dead animals was found in a pond and another was found dead in a paddy field nearby. Police and forest officials suspect electrocution as the cause of death of the two animals. Police arrested a suspect, kul Sarmah, who is the owner of the pond. SDO civil of Kaliabor, Pankaj Chakravarty and high-level officials of the forest department arrived at the spot.
