Two women molested in Intercity Express

Gohpur, July 24: Female train passengers do not feel safe in Assam. Yet another molestation case was reported by two women in Gohpur police station on Monday. According to sources, on Sunday night two women were travelling from Guwahati by Donyi Polo Intercity Express (Train code-15617). After, reaching the Rangiya junction, the two women were allegedly harassed by three unidentified persons.
As per reports received, the three culprits displayed offensive and objectioble behaviour towards the women and tried to assault them when they were travelling by the intercity express. With the help of other passengers of the train, one culprit was caught and handed over to Railway Police. Search is on for the other two, Railway Police added.
