Two youth arrested for NE girls harassment

Cheni, Nov 27: NorthEast United FC on Monday said that Cheni police have arrested two city-based youth in relation to the incident in which three northeast girls were harassed during a Hero Indian Super League (ISL) clash here on Thursday. A group of men surrounded the girls and mocked them with ippropriate signs during the match between Cheniyin FC and NE United at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

In a video which is going viral, a man was seen dancing obscenely in front of one of the women.

"Thanks to a prompt action from @chenipolice_ and DGP of TN, two Cheni based youth have been arrested and kept under judicial custody," NE United wrote on Twitter. IANS
