Two youths apprehended with arms at Tamulpur

TAMULPUR, June 23: Two youths were apprehended with one 9 MM pistol, four rounds of live ammunitions and three mobile handsets in an operation conducted by Tamlpur SDPO Ashif Ahmed at Barkhata under Tamulpur Sub-Division in Baksa district.

It is said that both the youths were going towards Tamulpur on Rangiya-Bhutan road on a motorbike. They had not stopped while police sigled them. Later police apprehended the both. The youths have been identified as Jangshaw Brahma (25) and Birdaw Brahma (20).

In an another operation conducted by Tamulpur SDPO Ashif Ahmed  and a team of Tamulpur Police station, Manjay Boro was apprehended from the village Kekerikuchi under Tamulpur Police Station in  the district of Baksa. An amount of Rs. 1.8 lakh was recovered from his possession by the police. According to police Manjay Boro is a linkman of NDFB(S) and he has collected money from a contractor of lbari district. S.P. and Additiol S.P. have arrived Tamulpur and interrogating the youth for more information.
