Two youths held with arms and ammunition

JORHAT, Nov 25: Police picked up two youths from the Mahindra dealership at AT Road Borpool area on Saturday evening and recovered a .22 pistol along with two rounds of ammunition, one magazine, two mobile sets and 50 Froxcifron tablets from their possession, said Hemen Das, the town sub-inspector of Jorhat Sadar Police Station.
Both are employees at the Mahindra dealership and were working as sales executive for the four-wheeler section. They were identified as Akash Jyoti Saikia and Ayush Javed from Shantipur under Dergaon township of Golaghat district, said police. They are suspected to be car lifters and dacoits with links to the inter-State car lifters’ gang and allegedly used to meet other car lifters from galand and Manipur at the Mahindra showroom
