UAMKP demands cent per cent employment in ONGC

SIVASAGAR, March 30: Reiterating its demand for cent per cent employment for locals in the ONGC, Assam Asset, the Upper Assam Muslim Kalyan Parishad staged a two-hour sit-in in front of ONGC, Assam Asset Head Office in zira on Monday. The UAMKP also demanded that the candidates who appeared for the posts of Grade III and IV in 2014 and remained in the waiting list must be appointed in ONGC. Later, the UAMKP submitted a memorandum, signed by its working president MI Bora and chief secretary Ahidur Zaman Chaudhury, to the Asset Mager and Executive Director of ONGC, Assam Asset. The organization has demanded response from the ONGC authorities at the earliest, failing which it has threatened to stage protests.
