UBI bank customers of Tinsukia allege harassment

TINSUKIA, June 13: The customers of Prakash Bazar Branch of United Bank of India, Tinsukia, have alleged that they have been harassed by the bank officials and have to go to other UBI branches, particularly Bordoloi gar branch, for transaction on the excuse that Prakash Bazar branch was overloaded.

According to a source, the bank staff of Prakash Bazar branch who deal with the public directly allegedly avoid customers for reasons best known to them, taking advantage of the CBS system. The source added further that UBI main branch too adopted this sort of unhealthy customer practices on regular basis.

While the customers of other UBI branches are not heartily welcomed at Bordoloi gar branch, the staff of the later contended that they fail to deliver expected customer services due to additiol unwarranted pressure from other branches.
