UBI launches account opening campaign

KOKRAJHAR, August 24: In a goodwill gesture for the poor people, especially in the far flung areas, the Union Bank of India (UBI), Kokrajhar Branch successfully conducted a Current Account and Savings Account (CASA) opening campaign under the Prime Minister’s Jan Dhan Yaja (PMJDY) scheme on Sunday. This was informed by an official of the UBI, Kokrajhar branch.

The campaign was conducted with cooperation of 3rd Rajput Regiment of the Indian Army under Ultapani and Labanyapur VCDC areas. He also said the campaign was also conducted at harani along the Indo-Bhutan border with active support of the 16th Bn. SSB. The bank branch opened 350 accounts. The programme was attended by the Branch Mager of UBI,  Ranjay Boro and other bank officials.
