UCO bank celebrates foundation day

DIBRUGARH, Jan 6: The 74th Foundation Day of UCO Bank was commemorated by Dibrugarh Branch Office of UCO Bank, here, at Tha Chariali today. The daylong programme of the foundation day event kicked off with customers’ meet which was attended by ex- vice Principal of D.H.S.K. College, Arun Dutta who lighted the traditiol lamp and paid floral tributes to the founder of UCO Bank, Late. G.D. Birla.

The former vice-principal in presence of all the bank employees and customers were felicitated by lini Sonowal.

Earlier the meeting conveyed by Sujeet Kumar, was iugurated with the Bank’s Prayer and then all the staff members were administered oath of the Bank’s Mission and Bank’s Vision.

The Chief Mager of the Branch, P.K.Baruah, read out in details about the history of UCO Bank from January 6, 1943 to the present date.

Respective views regarding the services rendered by UCO Bank, Dibrugarh branch were stated by Arun Dutta and former Bank Employee, Swapan Ganguly.

A free health check up camp was iugurated outside the Bank premises by Arun Dutta where Dr. Sandeep Dey and Dr. Krish Garodia also participated. Necessary medicines were provided to more than 100 bank customers and non customers who took part in the free health checkup camp.

JORHAT: UCO bank, Zol Office celebrated its 74th Foundation Day on Friday in Jorhat in a glorious manner by organising several functions, prominent among which was the distribution of blankets among 36 students of the Blind Institute in Jorhat as a part of the banks CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) policy.  The distribution concluded after a brief cultural programme performed by the students of the institute in the presence of the District Social Welfare Officer, Sangita Borthakur, presently acting as the in-charge Principal of the Institute besides UCO Bank Zol Mager Subhajit Basu, Samiran Das, Deputy Zol Head, Pravir Kr Ghosh, Senior Mager (O.L).

In his address, the UCO bank heads reiterated that the bank is ready for any kind of help towards the institution. While Samiran Das, Deputy Zol Head, informed about holding a camp to open accounts for the children and any other person.  Pravir Kr Ghosh informed about spending 30 thousand in purchasing the blankets.

DSW Sangita Borthakur thanked the bank for their generous contribution and said the school and especially the students are always open to such contributions which help overcome certain shortfalls.
