Udalguri AASU to take out torchlight rally

TANGLA, May 13: The Udalguri district committee of All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) will take out a torchlight rally in protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 in Udalguri town on May 14, informed assistant general secretary of AASU, Jayanta Kr. Bhattacharjya. “We are firm that Assam will not accept anyone who has entered the State after March 24, 1971,” said Bhattacharjya. Udalguri AASU president and general secretary Pranjal Patowary and Saiful Haque respectively has exhorted various indigenous student bodies, organizations, litterateurs, artists and common people to join the rally.
