Udalguri DC visits NSKs to ensure quality NRC update

KALAIGAON, Oct 29: Dilip Kr. Das, Deputy Commissioner of Udalguri district, as well as District Register of Citizenship Registration (DRCR) has been continuing the exercise on NRC update process in all NRC Seva Kendras (NSK) across the district.

 He visited several NRC Seva Kendras (NSK) under Mazbat, Khairabari and Kalaigaon revenue circles recently and shared views with NRC officials to ensure quality work in the NRC update process. He also organized a crucial meeting at the Orang Inspection Bungalow on Saturday and was accompanied by Anupam Chaudhury, Additiol Deputy Commissioner of Udalguri and Rajbeer Sing, Superintendent of Police, Udalguri. Addressing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Dilip Kr. Das appealed to the people to keep a peaceful environment ahead of draft NRC publication.

Meanwhile, Biraj Kr. Barua, Circle Officer of Kalaigaon revenue circle, has been also supervising this exercise on NRC in all the NSKs under Kalaigaon revenue circle. The Circle Officer told media persons that the administration would organize an awareness meeting on NRC update process and would distribute NRC-related leaflets among the people within a short period.
