Udalguri Festival begins

UDALGURI, March 5: The 3rd edition Udalguri Festival, 2016 began at Udalguri Bishnu Rabha Kristi premises on Saturday.

The three-day long festival has been organized by YPM Media Private Limited in association with young people of Udalguri. The programme was iugurated by Dimple Baruah, the Assistant Commissioner of Udalguri. She praised the efforts of YPM Media for organizing such a colourful programme in Udalguri.

Maihursa Boro, the maging director of YPM Media Private Ltd, hoisted the flag of the Udalguri Festival, 2016 in the morning. The book fair was iugurated by Tarapati Upadhyaya, the renowned writer of the region. The programme consists of spot art competition among the school children, sports competition, traditiol cultural exchange programme, solo singing competition and YPM Model Hunt 2016. The cultural exchange programme was iugurated by Prodeep Kumar Daimary on Saturday.

Tomorrow there will be a fast walking competition, debate competition, cooking competition, quiz, Udalguri AIR Show and All Assam Modern Dance Competition. On the fil day there will be wushu and kabaddi, Udalguri Young Change-makers Conclave, cultural and musical programmes.
