Udalguri Girls' HS School to celebrate golden jubilee

TANGLA, August 16: Udalguri Girls’ HS School, one of the pioneer institutions of women education in Udalguri district, is going to celebrate its golden jubilee with a three-day colourful agenda at the school premises from November 10 to November 12.

A decision to this effect was taken in a general meeting convened with a purpose to form the golden jubilee celebration committee of the premiere institution of the district.

The general meeting was chaired by Rihon Daimari, Minister of food and civil supplies and PHE and local MLA of Udalguri LAC, and was also attended by Tridip Daimari, speaker of BTC assembly, Ripen Daimari, MCLA of Bhairabkunda constituency, Anima Bayan, retired Principal of the school, among many others.

The meeting proposed minister Rihon Daimari as president, Ripen Daimari, MCLA of Bhairabkunda constituency, as working president and Kamala Kanta Sarmah, Principal of the school as general secretary and Jihusua Daimari as treasurer respectively of the celebration committee while other important sub-committees were also formed on the occasion. A souvenir Swar Deepsikha will also be brought out on the occasion to commemorate the grand occasion.

Rihon Daimari, president of the golden jubilee celebration committee, informed that a budget of Rs 10 lakh has been fixed for the golden jubilee  celebration.
