Udalguri to host 27th conference of Asom Kavi Samaj

UDALGURI, Sept 10: The 27th annual conference of Asom Kavi Samaj will be held at Udalguri on November 26 and November 27.

A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Udalguri Deputy Commissioner Sadha Hojai and after the public discussion a reception committee was formed. The committee is headed by Sadha Hojai as president, and other members are Dhiren Baishya as executive president and Gautamjyoti Talukdar as general secretary.

A souvenir will also be published to mark this conference and Anjanjyoti Sarma has been assigned as editor. In this meeting renowned poet and Principal of Udalguri HS School, Puspadhar Sarma, tiol award-winning retired teacher reswar Deka, writer Manik Chandra Sarma among other distinguished persons of Udalguri were also present.

Gautamjyoti Talukdar, renowned jourlist of Udalguri and also the president of Udalguri Kavi Samaj conducted the meeting. Lajpat Chouhan, the general secretary of Udalguri Kavi Samaj, and other members were also present on the occasion.
