UDP & HSDP to draft common minimum programme

SHILLONG, Aug 19: The pre-poll alliance of the two major regiol parties in Meghalaya, the United Democratic Party (UDP) and the Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP) will chalk out certain commitments on which their alliance will work on if it comes to power in 2018.
According to the UDP, general secretary, Jemino Mawthoh both the UDP and HSPDP will draft a Common Minimum Programme (CMP) to work on if it comes to power.
Mawthoh informed on Saturday that discussions are on between the two parties to chalk out the common issues that both the regiol parties will have.
“We will soon be coming into an understanding on our common agendas and issues,” Mawthoh said. Meanwhile, he also informed that the Coordition Committee of the Alliance has almost filised the list of candidates.
“mes of maximum candidates have been cleared,” Mawthoh said.
