SHILLONG, Sept 15: In light of the statements made by HSPDP Youth Wing president Pyniaid Sing Syiem against UDP Working president Paul Lyngdoh. The State Youth Wing of the UDP today stated that they are amused at the retort of the HSPDP which has no bearing on the issues in question but has clear intention of throwing bad light on their Chief Adviser.

“If the UDP has no problems of open heartedly inducting Paul Lyngdoh into the Party’s fold of which he is now an asset then what relevance has the current issue of HSPDP’s backtracking related to Paul’s past,” J Khymdeit joint secretary UDP Youth Wing said.

Khymdeit justified that the untimely fall of the MPA began when HSPDP decided to put up its own candidate for the Umroi bye-elections, after the demise of E K Mawlong which in turn resulted in the victory of the Congress.

He stated, “The ball is still in Pyniaid’s court, and we strongly take reservation to such malicious attempts, aimed at demeaning of character, which again we reiterate has no relevance whatsoever.”
