UDP slams Mukul on dual post

SHILLONG, Feb 27: The United Democratic Party (UDP) today said that if the post of MDC does not come under the office of profit, then this will tantamount to misleading the state assembly and the people of the state by the state government. According to UDP working president Bindo M Lanong, the party regrets over the inconsistent stand of the state government over the dual post issue. “What will be the fate of those legislators who had resigned as Members of District Council (MDCs) if the post is declared as not an office of profit. Will the government revoke its earlier order?” Lanong asked.
