Stating that the alliance of the UDP-HSPDP is to unite the people of the state, he said, “We request the people to support this attempt by both the regiol parties to unite the indigenous people of the state.”
He said even as an attempt is being made UDP and HSPDP to come together, a new political front has been floated known as People’s Democratic Front (PDF).
“The newly floated party PDF is a party of deserters which has been born from the Congress,” he said adding that most of its members comprises of members from Congress, UDP, HSPDP and KHM.
“The PDF is misleading the public by saying that they will bring change in the state, however it’s not easy for leaders who have deserted one party and join another to form a new party and to claim that they can bring change,” he said.
Paul Lyngdoh, working president of the party, said, “We are confident that Mukhim will become victorious in the upcoming election because he already has the vote bank.”
UDP candidate Mukhim, said, “If I’m elected as your representative to the legislative assembly the first thing on my agenda is to upgrade the PHC into a CHC at Mawryngkneng.”
