UDPF appeals to NDFB(S) to shun violence

UDALGURI, Dec 31: The UDPF has appealed to the NDFB(S) and other insurgent groups to shun violence and come for negotiation with the government to find out a solution to their problems.

The UDPF also appealed to all sections of people to maintain peace and harmony in the region and not to be misled by violence mongers and anti–social elements as well as rumour mongers, but to remain alert all the time. The UDPF appealed to district administration to take appropriate measures to supply and provide relief materials to all the relief camps.

UDPF president Prodeep Kr Daimary and general secretary Sujit Basumatary appealed to the government to take sincere steps to bring the NDFB and other insurgent outfits to the negotiation table for finding ways and means for solution of their issues. The UDPF also appealed to the government to expedite the ongoing peace process with the NDFB (P) and solve their issues at the earliest possible.
