ULFA cadre bbed

DIBRUGARH, May 6: Suspected ULFA cadre bbed from Khowang under Barbarua Police Station on Wednesday. The arrested militant, later identified as Bijju Baruah, son of Nilakanta Baruah of Harumaithan village in Tinsukia district. Based on specific information, the CRPF 171 battalion and Barbarua police under overall supervision of Deputy Commandant (operation), carried out search operation by cordoning off the Puroni Bolai Gaon under Barbaruah police station in Dibrugarh district on Wednesday and bbed the militant. The joint force later recovered one Improvised Explosive Device (IED), mobile set, SIM cards, and a bag from arrested Baruah’s possession. The arrested militant, during interrogation confessed that he was assigned to carry out subversive activities in the district for creating law and order situation. The arrested militant along with recovered goods was handed over to Barbaruah police for further investigation.
