ULFA-I appeals people of Assam to stand united against Government

Guwahati: ULFA-I Chairman, Abhijit Asom on Thursday appealed before the people of Assam to celebrate the Magh Bihu as festival of inspiration and consciousness of the community rather than celebrating it as a harvest festival this year.

In a press statement, ULFA-I, Chairman also highlighted the fact that there has been widespread change in the thought process of the people of Assam. “The indigenous people of Assam have come out in protest against the Central and State Government in order to safeguard the state,” the press statement stated.

They also added in the press statement, “The idea of revolution for ‘Sovereign Asom’ against the Government has sparked up among various sections of the indigenous communities in the state, thus, there has been a widespread protest by varioius section of the communities against both the Governments in the last few days.”

ULFA-I further appealed before the people of Assam to stand united against both the Central and State Forces who have been trying to pressurise the public and the communities in the state.
